It’s about a group of military superhumans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. Gunn then greenlit the project when he became CEO of DC Studios. Writer and series creator James Gunn appears in the opening credits with a laptop, typing a script.

. Appeared in AniMats Crazy Cartoon Cast: The Return of the King (of the Hill) (2023). All the components are there to create something fun and fresh, but the show fails to advance the ideas beyond cliche.
The dialogue itself is also pretty choppy and I must have laughed twice in four episodes
Every time I leaned forward waiting for the show to surprise me, I stumbled upon the most obvious, loopy premise. The women are, in some ways, the most interesting and least engaging characters on the show. It’s not often that it builds up an interesting female character with inner conflict and depth (The Bride) and in the same breath introduces a shallow, unrealistic, over-sexualized princess archetype (Ilana).
The dubbing is wonderful overall, with Varma being a standout
Flag is as uninteresting as can be and we don’t know enough about the burning boy to really care. The character designs are great and I really like the visual effects in general. The music and the way scenes are cut and edited add well to the more unique aspect of an otherwise watered down and shaky brand.
