The exploits of various guests and employees at a luxury resort over the course of a week. HBO has renewed the series for a second season despite the show being intended as a limited, one-season miniseries. The series is said to be an anthology-style series, featuring new characters each season. HBO has done this before (to wide acclaim) with True Detective (2014). Jeremy Vine: Episode 4,175 (2021). While parts of the first season were scary, this second season is as masterful as anyone could hope for. It starts off a little slow, the first episode, but it quickly finds its footing and impresses you again and again, drawing you in as a newcomer. It feels like a review of my thoughts on a long-forgotten resort. The score alone is a joy, but don’t worry, the Sicilian setting goes beyond operatic high drama and flirtation with beauty. They take note of the excellent performance and appearance. I have to say the story is light Mike White, this series’ creator is something of a genius. The guy seems to be aware of no boundaries, with the sharpest eye for detail I’ve ever seen.
